Ahmas Jamal Trio consisted of the occupation piano, guitar and bass. In 1957 the guitar was replaced by drums as an instrument and the trio consisted of pianist Ahmad Jamal since, Isarel Crosby (bass) and Vernel Fournier (drums).
The house band of Pershing hotels in Chicago took on this live album in 1957. It was published in 1958 and remained for 2 years in the charts. The financial success of the album allowed Jamal, to open a club in Chicago.
