2012년 런던 하계 올림픽 오프닝 세레모니 포퍼먼스에 참여했던 영국을 대표하는 소리의 마술사 Mike Oldfield의 79년 5집 Platinum [2CD Deluxe Edition][Remastered]!!! 미국, 캐나다에서는 Airborn이라는 타이틀로 다른 앨범커버로 발매되엇던 앨범이며 George & Ira Gershwin의 'I Got Rhythm'같은 리메이크 곡을 처음으로 레코딩에 포함시킨 첫 작품이기도 하다. 70년대말 전자음악의 대중화 속에서도 자신만의 독특한 음악세계를 표현했던 Mike Oldfield는 Philip Glass와 함께 펑키한 일렉트로닉 트랙 'North Star', Wendy Roberts가 참여한 첫 리메이크 송 'I Got Rhythm', 펑크록적인 스타일을 접목시켰던 'Punkadiddle'등을 녹음했다. 2012년 리마스터반에는 오리지날 8곡 트랙과 함께 라이브 스튜디오 세션, 리믹스, A-Side 싱글, 1980년 영국 Wembley Arena 실황을 추가 수록하고 있다.
