서정적인 브릿팝 사운드향을 간직한 아메리칸 인디록 밴드 Airborne Toxic Event의 2008년 첫 데뷰 앨범 [Airborne Toxic Event]!!! 국내에선 지산 록 페스티발을 통해 선을 보인 이들은 기타와 보컬을 맡고 있는 Mikel Jollett을 중심으로 LA에서 결성된 5인조 밴드이다. 2007년 영국에서 먼저 첫선을 보였던 EP앨범 [Does This Mean You're Moving On?]이후 작년 8월 미국에서의 첫 메이저 앨범으로 발매된 이 앨범에는 U2의 베이시스트 Adam Clayton이 추천한 서정적인 모던 록 넘버 'Sometime Around Midnight'을 비롯해 Strokes풍의 빠른 드러밍이 전개되는 'Gasoline', Franz Ferdinand식의 스타일리쉬한 리듬전개와 흡사한 'Happiness Is Overrated'등 총 13곡 수록!
