브리티쉬 헤비메틀의 성역, 그룹 Black Sabbath의 87년 13번째 정규 앨범 The Eternal Idol [2CD Deluxe Edition]!!! 보컬리스트 Ozzy Osbourne 다음으로 긴시간 그룹과 함께했던 보컬리스트 Tony Martin의 첫 레코딩 앨범이기도 한 이 앨범은 Ronnie James Dio의 탈퇴이후 짧은 기간 Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes의 교체로 보여줬던 혼돈의 시기를 끝낸 나름대로의 의미를 갖고 있는 앨범이기도 하다. 앨범 [Vol. 4]를 프로듀싱 했던 Vic Coppersmith-Heaven과 전작 [Seventh Star]를 완성했던 Jeff Glixman이 참여했으며 80년대 팝 메틀 사운드를 의식한 Tony Iommi의 작곡 실력을 보여준 타이틀곡 'The Shining', 80년대 New Wave of British Heavy Metal 사운드를 느낄 수 있는 'Nightmare' 수록, 이번 디럭스반에는 공식맴버로 활약을 하지 못했던 보컬리스트 Ray Gillen의 스튜디오 세션트랙들이 포함되어있다.
