90년대 등장했던 여성 록 싱어송라이터중 가장 실험적인 면모를 보여줬던 P.J Harvey의 8집 스튜디오 앨범 Let England Shake [1LP]!!! 포크, 블루수를 기반으로 얼터너티브, 일렉트로닉, 아트록 영역까지 아우르며 방대한 음악세계를 펼쳐온 그녀! 이번 신작 역시 John Parish, Mick Harvey, Flood의 탄탄한 프로듀싱으로 완성된 작품으로 대표작 [To Bring You My Love], [Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea]에 버금가는 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 앨범은 영국차트 8위에 올랐으며 독특한 그녀만의 색깔이 느껴지는 첫 싱글 'The words that maketh murder'가 중심이된 그녀의 정치적 성향을 뚜렸하게 드러낸 앨범이다.
