P(PURE)-Funk의 천재 아티스트 George Clinton이 이끌었던 70년대 Psychedelic Soul/Funk의 대명사, 그룹 Parliament의 히트곡을 엄선한 앨범 [ICON]!!! 1970년 메이저 데뷰작 [Osmium]을 시작으로 80년 앨범 [Trombipulation]까지 총 9장의 정규 앨범을 발표, Psychedelic Soul과 록이 접목된 독특한 사운드로 Dr. Dre, Faith No More, De La Soul, Happy Mondays, Prince등 다양한 장르의 뮤지션들에게 지대한 영향을 미쳤다. 이번 아이콘 앨범에는 76년 이들의 대표앨범 [Mothership Connection]에 수록되었던 'P-Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up)'과 'Mothership Connection (Star Child)', 78년 빌보드 R&B 싱글차트 1위곡 'Flash Light'등 총 12곡 수록!
