그룹 Dire Straits의 리드기타리스트였으며 영화 [Local Hero], [Last Exit to Brooklyn]의 사운드트랙으로 국내에서도 많은 사랑을 받았던 Mark Knopfler의 3년만의 신작 앨범 Privateering [2CD]!!! 통산 일곱번째 솔로 앨범이자 2009년 앨범 [Get Lucky]이후 발표되는 화제작으로 Mark Knopfler와 그룹 시절부터 함께 호흡했던 키보디스트 겸 멀티 인스트루멘틀리스트 Guy Fletcher와 프로듀서 Chuck Ainlay가 만든 공동작으로 제즈 트럼펫터 Chris Botti, 캐나다 포크/블루 글라스 밴드 The Wailin' Jennys의 여성 소프라노 싱어 Ruth Moody, 아메리칸 블루스 록 그룹 The Fabulous Thunderbirds의 리드 싱어 Kim Wilson이 스페이셜 게스트로 참여했다. 앨범은 다가올 가을과 어울리는 포크. 켈틱 록, 블루스, 루트 록 사운드를 들려주고 있어 Mark Knopfler의 팬이라면 꼭 들어봐야 할 음반이다.
