1980년대 후반 골든 에이지 힙합을 대표했던 뉴욕 힙합 듀오 Eric B. & Rakim의 1987년 데뷰 앨범 Paid In Full [2LP]! 프로듀서 Marley Marl의 홉 스튜디오와 뉴욕 Power Play Studios에서 녹음되어 87년 7월 7일에 공개되었다. 당시 빌보드 앨범차트 58위까지 올랐으며 현재까지 미국에서 플레티넘을 기록하고 있다. 싱글컷으로는 'Eric B. Is President', 'I Ain't No Joke', '"I Know You Got Soul', 'Paid in Full', 'As The Rhyme Goes On'이 있으며 James Brown, Mountain, AC/DC, Beastie Boys, Return to Forever, Funkadelic, Bobby Byrd, Rufus Thomas. Jackson 5, The J.B.'s등 수많은 뮤지션들의 곡들을 샘플링으로 사용했다.
